You still need a drain: open-wash bin stations and the regulator

Sheet 1 of WBW-001 is an open stand, a drum, and a pump. There is no waste tank, no oil separator, no sealed cabinet. Dirty water leaves the inverted bin and hits the slab. If that slab does not drain to a consented point, you have a discharge.

What to put in the RAMS

Wash zone, intercept, COSHH on the effluent, lock-out on the WEG starter, tilt switch on the drum, no reaching under an inverted bin while the spinner is live. That is a stronger document than ‘we rinse them in the yard’.

If your Environment Agency or POTW relationship cannot live with an open wash, do not order this drawing. Specify a closed cabinet from someone who builds one. Honesty here is cheaper than a notice.
